The Planets: Jupiter

Jupiter is written by classical saxophonists Holly Marriott, Charles Curtin, Tianyu Shangguan and composer/producer Jenny Shen. The process involved collaborative writing through several workshops where we explored and recorded extended techniques on saxophones. The result is an electro-acoustic track that combines electronics with the organic sound of an alto, tenor and baritone saxophones. Jupiter is part of a larger project “The Planets” which was led by Professor John Harle at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
